PENCADER NEWS YOU CAN USE

Vol. 1, No. 2 - September 19, 2006

PICTURES – On September 20th, student pictures will be taken in school. Proofs will be sent home in a couple of weeks along with order forms should you wish to make a purchase. These photos will also be used for the yearbook individual photos.

ABSENCES – Please be aware that a note is needed for all absences. Students may only miss 18 classes of a year long course and 9 from a semester course before they will fail due to those absences.

TARDIES – If your child is going to be late, please send a note in to excuse the lateness as well.

DONATIONS – Thank you to Kathy Turner for the donation of a television/DVD player for use in classrooms. We still need of the following:

SUBSTITUTES – If you are a certified nurse (only need to be an LPN) and would like to substitute, please call and leave your name and number and availability with Frances Fields at 302.472.0794. Also, if you are in college to be a teacher or are a certified teacher and would like to be placed on our substitute list, please call and leave your information with Ms. Fields as well.

ADVISORY PERIOD – Beginning on September 20th and each Wednesday thereafter, we have built an advisory period into the day to allow clubs to meet during the day rather than after school. This was done for two reasons – so more students can participate and parents don’t have to make arrangements for after school pick ups. Check with your child to see which club(s) they will be participating in each week.
