REPORT CARDS MAILED THIS FRIDAY
Report Cards: The first ever Pencader Charter report cards will be mailed home this Friday. If you have a question about your child’s grade, please contact that teacher directly by calling the school or emailing him or her.
Thanksgiving Food Drive: The Class of 2010 Committee is holding a Thanksgiving Food Drive. We are collecting boxes of powered Jello to be given out as part of a basket of food to needy families for Thanksgiving. All Jello donations will go to the Basket Brigade of Delaware (www.basketbrigadeofde.org). Please show your support by bringing in boxes of Jello through Wednesday, November 15.
Titan Times: The first PTO meeting will be November 18th at 10:00 am in the school cafeteria.
Titan Times: The first issue of the Titan Times will be distributed shortly. Look for your copy coming home with your child. The Titan Times staff will meet in Ms. Ryan's room over lunch on ONE days. If you have A or B lunch, just bring your lunch to the room. We will only meet on a ONE day. I will have a schedule to be copied the first day we meet.
Athletics: Compression shirts on are sale to support the athletic program. Shirts are $25 for either short sleeved or long sleeved. See Coach Sprinkle for yours today!
There are only 7 open spots left on the lacrosse team for the 2006 spring season. Interested athletes should see Coach Townsend in room 110. Players are also selling sweatshirts, sweatpants, and t-shirts to raise funds. See a lacrosse player, or stop by room 110 to order.
The last football game of the season will be next Monday, November 13th against Milford. Come out and support your team.
Math League: First math league meet is Monday, November 13th at Charter School of Wilmington. Students attending must be picked up at Charter at 6:00 pm. Good luck to the math students participating.
BPA: The Business Professionals of America will meet on Wednesdays after school until 4:00 during the second marking period.
ABSENCES & TARDIES: Please be aware that a note is needed for all absences. Students may only miss 18 classes of a year long course and 9 from a semester course before they will fail due to those absences. If your child is going to be late, please send a note in to excuse the lateness as well. Although a note is required for an absence or a late arrival the note in itself doesn't make the absence/lateness excused.
COMMUNITY SERVICE: To qualify for National Honor Society, you must have community service hours. You must also complete 40 hours of service while at Pencader to receive your credit to graduate. We will be ringing bells for the Salvation Army in December.
SCHEDULE ALERT: No school November 7th for Election Day and November 22-24 for Thanksgiving holiday.
