Pencader Charter High School

The Pencader PTO meeting scheduled for Saturday, January 20, at 10:00 has been cancelled.

The PTO Leadership Committee decided to postpone the general membership meeting until after Pencader staff needs assessments and the parent questionnaires have been collected. This information will enable the PTO to establish goals, define priorities, and plan activities.

I will be sending all of you a copy of the minutes from the PTO Leadership Committee meeting held on January 6, as well as the bylaws which were approved at this meeting.

After you read the minutes, I hope you will understand why it was necessary to cancel the January 20th meeting. Our objective is to have productive membership meetings worth your time, and the committee did not believe we had enough substance to provide such a meeting by the 1/20 date.

Midterms

January 16th - full day with period 1 midterm at the end of the day

January 17-19 - half days with two midterms each day

School will be dismissed at 11:30 - lunch will not be served.

Pencader Honor Roll Ski Trip
All Pencader students who made honor roll for both the first and second marking periods are eligible to go to Blue Mountain on February 23, 2007 for skiing and tubing. Students must have all As and Bs in all of their classes for both marking periods to be eligible. Contact Paul Gray if you have any questions.

Congratulations to Jasmine Cottom for being selected for the 2006-2007 Delaware All State Chorus! Jasmine will be singing soprano in the February 3, 2007 concert which will feature the best high school singers in the state.
